  16. you sure posted to the right newsgroup here... i'm using kermit 3.13
  17. happily both at work and home, ethernet at work, 9600 baud with a
  18. practical periperal 1.44 modem at home.  it works great.  i'm sure
  19. frank da cruz will reply to you.  if not, save my email address, i'll

  24. are you talking about terminal access, only, or also moving files 
  25. back and forth?  your employee will need 2 phone lines, and the
  26. computer one MUST HAVE CALL WAITING DISABLED.  or, program into kermit
  27. the *70 or whatever your local telco uses to disable call waiting
  28. temp.

  30. ps, you'll need a modem on the dec machine, all 25 wires cabled to the 
  31. modem to the comm port.  an MMJ connector (looks like a phone cable)
  32. is NOT gonna work, if he disconnects w/o logging off, his account is
  33. open to the world. We use the same practial periperals 1.44's on our 
  34. machine also, and i have a kermit script that "blasts" them into 
  35. behaving nicely on the vax. if you already have suitable modem, 
  36. forget this..

  38. If you're talking about only terminal access for your person, you will not
  39. need c-kermit for vms.  file transfer will be what requires c-kermit.
